Fast Processing Power

The Talkman T5 is the latest in the Talkman series of voice directed units from Vocollect and contains the Intel 416MHz PXA270 XScale processor allowing the quick execution of tasks and user features. It's features include the automatic detection and loading of an operator based on the headset that is plugged into the unit further speeding up the process.

12 Hour Minimum Battery Life

The high performance 'smart' battery with monitoring chip allows a minimum of 12 hours operation in ambient conditions and a minimum of 10 hours in a freezer environment. With a new design charger the T5 and spare battery can be charged simulataneously in the same unit, even with the protective case installed.

Intuitive Operator Keypad

The T5 uses the same easy to use symbolic 4-button interface as the T2 and T2x units which replaces the need for any screen interaction. The 4-button pad is sealed to keep out corrugated fiber dust and other environmental factors that can hamper performance.

Fit for Purpose operation

The award winning T5 is ideal for use in the harshest of environments including freezers and steam filled environments. It's simple to use rugged structure enables warehouse operatives to be as productive and accuracte as possible. The T5 is tested to the MIL STD 810F standards for vibration and shock and can withstand 25 drops from 5 feet and an additional 10 drops from 6 feet to polished concrete. The T5 can also survive 10 drops at varying angles from 5 feet to polished concrete at -34 degrees celcius. The T5 can operate in temperature ranges from -34 degrees celcius up to +50 degrees celcius and has an IP67 rating. All this in a 100% condensing environment.

As with the T2 and T2x, the T5 is equipped with field-proven rugged, break-away connectors that are engineered to separate cleanly if a cable snags or is subjected to unusual strain. This unique design helps to keep your DC teams safe and to protect your investment in headsets, RF scanners, and portable printers.

Bluetooth Wireless Connectivity

The T5 is now supplied with Bluetooth to connect wirelessly to other peripherals such as mobile printers, barcode scanners etc. The latest developments include wireless headsets to offer completely wire-free solutions.
