12 Hour Battery Provides Full Shift Coverage

Talkman's lithium-ion 3500 mAh high-capacity battery provides shift after shift performance and it easily lasts a 12 hour shift even in freezer or extreme cold environments. Battery life increased an average of 35% percent over Talkman T2.

Intuitive Operator Keypad

Talkman's easy-to-use, symbolic 4-button interface replaces need for complex screen interactions. Sealed membrane bezel buttons keep out corrugated fiber dust and other environmental factors that could hamper performance.

Performs well in a variety of environments where others don't

The Talkman T2x is so durable, the mean-time-between-failures is more than six years. That's because the T2x was designed specifically for extreme industrial environments; making it perfect for harsh conditions. From freezing cold to steamy heat, the Talkman is impervious to the typical rough handling and hazards of an industrial facility: static, dust, rain, shock and vibration.

Engineered for Ruggedness

To ensure that our wearable computers are as tough as they can be, Vocollect subjected the T2x to a number of durability tests. For starters, the Talkman computer meets the MIL STD 810F specification for shock and vibration. Then we take a few extra steps and independently drop-test to specifications of 25 drops from 5 feet (152.4 cm), 10 drops from 6 feet (182.88 cm) onto polished concrete, and 10 drops at varying angles from 5 feet (152.4 cm) at –20° F (-29°C) onto polished concrete. Even after all of this, the Talkman T2x performs just like it did when it came from the box.

Moisture and Corrosion-Resistant

Moisture and corrosion-resistance are critical for industrial applications. Vocollect looked to a rigorous International Electrotechnical Commission specification, IEC Standard 60529 Ingress Protection (IP) to make sure T2x is 100 percent waterproof and corrosion resistant. Being specified at IP67 involves extreme compliance testing such as submersing it in a pool of water, at a depth of one meter, for 30 minutes. Even under such harsh conditions, the Talkman T2x is fully functional.
