Thermodial Invests €100,000 in Mobile Delivery Solution from Heavey RF
Dublin; Wednesday, 1st April, 2009: Thermodial, the Irish specialists in the maintenance of air-conditioning, heating and electrical systems has installed a mobile solution from Heavey RF which has improved the company’s organisational efficiency and customer service. The deal valued at approximately €100,000 involves the supply of Psion Teklogix Workabout Pro G2 handheld computers to engineers and the sales team. The handheld computers link in with Thermodial’s call management system.
“Thermodial operates with the latest technology and innovation at its core and we are committed to continuously enhancing our service delivery, whilst at same time simplifying administration by reducing paperwork for our customers. The handheld and new call management solution from Heavey RF allows us to achieve this goal,” said Willie Kearney (Managing Director, Thermodial).
“The system has provided us with much greater transparency across our business. Our engineers and sales team now have all the site information on hand for each call which allows them to be more effective,” he added. “This mobile computing solution reduces wasted effort and rework as well as improving information flow among our field staff. This provides our customers with the most accurate, efficient, and reliable team possible and ultimately, we're more responsive and more competitive.”

The Thermodial deal is one of many recent deals by Heavey RF in the enterprise mobility market. The company has built its reputation to date within the warehouse environment supplying mobile solutions using Radio Frequency technology. This includes the supply of handheld and vehicle mount radio data terminals (RDT's) as well as voice directed systems, integration software, peripherals and wireless security.
The Psion Teklogix handsets link into a Mobile Control Center (MCC) which provides organisations with a complete suite of integrated tools to centrally manage and control their mobile field force. Some of the tools that MCC provides include automatic provisioning of software and data; real-time remote helpdesk support and trouble shooting tools; automatic monitoring and correction of problems as well as the automatic configuration of devices.
“Whether you manage field service operations within the utilities industry or any service and support operation, a mobile computing solution can strengthen your field service capabilities and lower your operating costs, while improving customer service. The elimination of paper-based processes will improve the productivity of your team while eliminating costly data entry errors. Such mobility is no longer a luxury, it is a vital business component” said Ronan Clinton (Managing Director, Heavey RF).
Heavey RF has been working with Psion Teklogix since 1995 during which time it has implemented over 350 wireless installations in Ireland.
